Sable round brushes, colours and paper:
n.2 Raw Umber (unused)
n.7 Jadeite Genuine
n.10 Burnt Umber
Watercolour paper NOT 280gsm 38 x 28cm

additional exercise using all materials above
guided with where to apply the paint and when to stop

n.2 know God is everything, God abides with those who care for Him, here meaning everything,
careful application of the paint
Raw Umber, shadows, duplication
brown is dark yellow and this one is greenish
these colours could be the typical colours of trees
n.7 work carefully again, every second is a pot of gold in Jadeite joy
God moved mountains and filled seas to create a beautiful world
for every part of it, if it is mixed with n.2 above, Raw Umber which makes the shadows
as will the Burnt Umber
but it is the shadows that have the yellow for the pot of gold
n.10 value everything but not too much
while writing, two bright green parakeets sat on a bare branch of cherry, with their tails crossing, forming a kind of heart shape with two tails, one carefully lifted around so they were no longer in that shape, but side by side
this could influence the image
the colours are about right and it speaks of enjoying the moment without trying to hold on to it, when it is joy
God’s comforts where my heart can feel at home
to represent comfort I had thought perhaps a fort, like one I used to play with in childhood, cowboys and Indians, the trees are like the fortresses for birds, their homes where they can find safety
green feather comes to mind
similar shape to the bare branches of trees but green
the pot of gold ought to be in Raw Umber most like yellow
Burnt Umber is also yellow but more red
or the other way around
keeping Raw Umber very dark to make a shadow and Burnt Umber very light to make a warm light perhaps
the shapes are both strong like fort and airy like branches of trees and feathers
Raw Umber uses a thinner brush so the shadows are not thick
perhaps the pot of gold is in the negative space, the light areas
where dark shadows are withheld perhaps
like superimposed images
the structure is green joy, Jadeite
the rest is light and shade perhaps
the structure being perhaps bare tree stems or branches but in green perhaps like feathers of parakeets

some photos of the cherry, with pigeon in lieu of parakeets and one parakeet perched up high
