When a Child is Born is a Christmas carol, it tells us:
…”And all this happens because the world is waiting,
waiting for one child; black, white, yellow, no one knows,
but a child who will grow up and turn tears to laughter,
hate to love, war to peace, everyone to everyone’s neighbour,
misery and suffering will be words to be forgotten”…
I believe we can all be that child, each and every one of us, insofar as it is possible for us to achieve that.
In Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (p 245) J.K. Rowling writes “It is our choices… that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.”
It is by our choices that we can choose to be that child, if we want to, insofar as we can.
N.B. Sorry about the delay in posting. My fault. Router got unplugged somehow but still looked on.
